Jacqueline Dubord, CPM, NHCM, MPH
Mount Vernon Midwifery
Jacqueline Dubord attended her first birth in 2002 (albeit a goat's!), and has been a Certified Professional Midwife since 2011. Although originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she has found her heart’s home in Maine. She and her husband live in Vienna, ME with their dog and three cats, growing as much of their own food as they are able, and slowly building their dream home.
For Jackie, realizing her path as a midwife came together while studying for her Masters in Public Health. After graduating from Boston University with her MPH in Maternal and Child Health, she followed her calling to become a midwife by enrolling in Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgton, ME. While a student, she learned from and worked with CPMs in Maine and Washington, attending births in the home as well as free-standing birth centers. Following graduation from Birthwise, she volunteered for a month at a hospital in Vanuatu as a midwife. Jackie has been the Clinical Director and faculty at Birthwise Midwifery School, as well as a supervising midwife at the The Birthwise Community Clinic since August of 2012. Beginning Fall 2015 Jackie will continue to serve as faculty at Birthwise, but will step away from her other positions to focus on her midwifery practice. She is deeply committed to providing equitable, compassionate and skilled care to mamas and families seeking her services.
Jackie began incorporating the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy into her practice following her practitioner training in Fall 2014. She is excited to offer her clients additional therapies and approaches to address reproductive and digestive concerns. She has a particular interest in pre-conception counseling and fertility concerns.
