Laura Donnelly, CPM

With Child Midwifery

Laura Donnelly is a Certified Professional Midwife who began her midwifery training in 1998. Her training was a combination of community apprenticeship with homebirth midwives and training at a high volume birth center on the Texas-Mexico border. Through the years, Laura has been privileged to attend over 170 births in six different states. She has worked with a wide variety of mentors, midwifery partners, and families and she has learned a great deal from each one. She is a member of the Midwives of Maine, the Midwives Alliance of North America, and the National and Maine Associations of Certified Professional Midwives.

Laura lives in Searsport with her husband and their three children. She offers homebirth midwifery services, doula services, and classes in natural childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting. She enjoys gardening, knitting, reading, dancing, exploring with her children, and learning. As a midwife, she strives to maintain an open heart, a curious mind, and a loving spirit.

Laura serves birthing families within an hour of Searsport. She offers complete in-home care for midwifery clients, including all prenatal visits in the comfort and convenience of your own home. Weekend appointments are also available.
